Toyopa

This residential renovation and addition transforms a family home in the Pacific Palisades, updating a series of fragmented spaces into a cohesive and light-filled living environment. Previous piecemeal renovations had left the house disconnected from both its backyard and pool, while limiting the flow between interior spaces. The project reimagined the home’s public areas to better support everyday life and entertaining, opening the house to new outdoor living spaces and strengthening connections throughout. Raised ceilings, expanded openings, and improved circulation bring greater light and clarity to the interiors, while warm materials, brass accents, vibrant colors, and playful patterns infuse the traditional architecture with a contemporary and welcoming character.
